Cannabis can be used for cancer therapy in a couple different ways.  First, patients find cannabis can help with pain from the cancer itself, or from  side effects of chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy such as nausea, pain, or sleeplessness.  Second, often patients also wonder if cannabis can help with treating the cancer itself, i.e. killing cancer cells, and your question seems to be more related to this aspect.  Preliminary animal and lab studies indicate that cannabinoids such as CBD can assist your body in inducing cancer cell death and limiting their ability to spread/grow. Fortunately, oral doses of up to 700 mg a day are well-tolerated. Some studies suggest that CBD and THC can work synergistically (meaning that treatment is more effective when used together than either one alone), so incorporating THC is likely to augment the CBD effects if that is something you want to consider. She took as much by mouth as possible (maybe 10 mg), and her rectal administration doubled every week, starting at 42 ml. or so. She was up to around 164 ml. or so this week.  The ratio is 50/50 CBD:THC.\n\nShe is now on an IV for hyrdration and can barely eat.  She is doing worse.\n\nThe consultant came back yesterday with a one-week supply of 1 gram suppositories (syringes), with 90% or so of THC.  We started last night.  We will also finish this weeks' supply of the 164 ml. suppositories during the day (1 per day).\n\nThe problem is that I'm not sure if she can also do the sublingual RSO during the day.\n\nShe isn't vomiting as much during the day, but coughs and vomits at night.\nThe consultant said that sometimes people get worse before they get better, and that she could be getting rid of cancer cells.  She also said that we are early in the game on the RSO program.   We don't know yet.  It might kick in.  I just don't know how she can get worse after beginning the program.  I am guessing that it can take a while for it to start to work.\n\nIf we stay with the full-powered RSO suppositories at night, do you think we might see some results?  This is getting scary.  Should I encourage her to try and do the sublingual, also?  Should we also do the lower dose suppositories? If her blood level of vitamin D remains below 50 ng/ml she may be 93% more likely to experience metastatic disease and if the vitamin D level is still not corrected she is 73% more likely to succumb to breast cancer because of vitamin D deficiency.\n\nHas she been informed that she must stop drinking alcohol because it is a poison to her?\n\nHer insurance probably paid for her to have a BRCA1 and the BRCA2 but those are only two out of at least 17 markers for breast cancer in genetics.\n\nYou did not mention her stage of cancer but that is critically important because if she has DCIS she may experience a better outcome without surgery.\n\nPeople are often embarrassed to cancel surgery or postpone a surgery but if she does not have all the information she maybe making a premature decision. People cancel or postpone surgeries all the time so rest assured that a postponed surgery with more information in order to make a wise decision\nwould likely result in a better outcome.\n\nGood luck, this is a tough situation and Anastrozole has not had the best track record so you really may want to explore more options.
