My primary doc won't work with me on CBD. Would I be safe in just cutting my 20mg of atorvastatin in half? I have seen a D.O. who will work with me but I would rather not change doctors. Thanks very much!\"\n_____________________\nHello. CBD may increase serum concentrations of some statins (atorvastatin and simvastatin, but not pravastatin or rosuvastatin). It is unfortunate that your primary care physician will not treat you if you are on CBD. However, I would not recommend you cutting your medication in half. It is important to leave that up to your physician as they are trained to interpret and monitor your blood cholesterol levels in conjunction with prescribing the appropriate dosages of medications. I would prefer you change doctors, or find a provider that will monitor your cholesterol while taking CBD. Overall, Cannabis is generally well-tolerated, and serious adverse effects are rare.\n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7810-markdown","title":"I need a product to help me sleep that I don't smoke. I would recommend you start with a CBD dominant (very little THC) sublingual tincture, then progress to oral capsules once you know the milligrams that work for you. If the insomnia is severe. I would suggest a combination of a sublingual tincture- because of its rapid effects that can help you fall asleep more quickly. And also capsules, which are released slower, making them effective at helping people stay asleep, for a total daily dosage of CBD 40-160 mg.\n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7795-markdown","title":"Can you recommend a CBD oil that is extracted without the use of neurotoxic materials?","slug":"can-you-recommend-a-cbd-oil-that-is-extracted-without-the-use-of-neurotoxic-materials","content":"\"Also, what is the recommended dose for a cancer patient?\"\n_____________________\nHello. 'CBD Biocare' and 'CBD Integrity and Trust' are two companies among many, that state that their products are produced using the CO2 extraction process. This is non-hexane and non-butane, the cleanest and purest way to produce Cannabidiol isolate. \n\nFinding the right dose of medical cannabis is a personalized task. Dosing is best achieved when patients have professional guidance. According to the Mayo Clinic \"To increase appetite in people with cancer, 2.5 milligrams of THC has been taken by mouth with or without one milligram of CBD for six weeks. In people with cancer and chronic pain, 5-20 milligrams of delta-9-THC has been taken by mouth daily\".\n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7788-markdown","title":"Will a CBD cream help with the pain from hip bursitis? How much should I take to get relief but still be functional during the day?\"\n_____________________\nI take CBD multiple times a day to prevent my migraines. As a side effect I have noticed a marked decrease in anxiety and a more relaxed state of being. This tracks with new research on CBD. CBD comes in many different forms. You can take a tincture, a capsule, edibles or vape for instance. It really depends on what form works best for you. I like sub lingual tincture and vape cartridges. Dosage is personal but as long as you stay at a 4:1 ratio of CBD to THC in say a tincture, and titrate dosing throughout the day, you should not get high and should be fully functional. Try it on a weekend to make sure. I am not a doctor and this represents my experience only. I hope this helps! That does not mean people do not do it, but it's certainly more unusual. Typically people use varying doses of THC to sleep, in the form of an edible or vaping, for instance. For some people, CBD does do the trick, but i have equally heard of people not being able to sleep on CBD. It really depends upon you and what works best. If you have not tried THC, I might suggest a low micro dose of an edible. I take under 5mg and it helps me. With CBD, it would depend on the product, but in my experience a capsule or edible will make me very relaxed whereas a tincture does not. I am not a doctor and this is only my personal experience! I hope this helps.\n\npamelahadfield","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7763-markdown","title":"Would using topical creams help me sleep?","slug":"would-using-topical-creams-help-me-sleep","content":"\"What should I look for in terms of the CBD:THC ratio?\"\n_____________________\nPain is a deterrent to restorative sleep so please do rub your body down with a CBD dominant topical salve or cream to improve the quality of your sleep because the CBD's will block pain. I personally love a 2:1 ratio, CBD:THC salve But the proper ratio is often difficult to find with the salves and salves are regional so what I have in Northern California may not be the same in your area. Hyperplasia is an increase in cell numbers due to a normal physiological response to demand placed on a tissue. Testosterone makes your prostate grow, which can increase symptoms of benign prostate disease. Unfortunately, there are no available studies on Cannabis Sativa and it's effect on hyperplasia or more specifically BPH. However, studies suggest that cannabis causes a decline in testosterone levels by disrupting the production of testosterone. THC has also been shown to inhibit several testicular enzymes needed in testosterone production. \n\nhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6090909\n\ntatiananp\n_____________________\nHello my name is Thomas Karol , my husband was suffering from liver cancer, and the doctor's told me that there is nothing they could do to save my beloved husband life.
