Every patient is different so I encourage you to try the lotion and give it a decent trial (longer than just a week). Another tip: I've been telling patients to pre-heat the area for 10 minutes then apply the topical (be it lotion or oil). I also tell pts to continue doing other modalties for arthritis treatment: keep the jt moving/ exercise, try interdispersing cold packs for any jt inflammation, and try omega-3 supplements 2-3000mg/ day (based on papers I've read coming out of arthritis treatment in Europe). The topical lotions have definitely helped many pts but I've also met pts where it hasn't been as helpful so that is why we give it a trial. Currently I pay very little for all my meds, including opiates I don't want to take. But medical cannabis helps best but is too expensive to purchase. I feel my government doesn't care at all.\n\"\n_____________________\nThat is an excellent point. Right now the first thing that physicians need to do is become familiar with cannabis through education. The vast majority of doctors do not know the first thing about cannabis and the various medical conditions that it can help. The next step would be to expand the medical conditions that it is acceptable to recommend it for in states that already have laws permitting it. The to expand the same parameters to states that don't allow it at all yet. \nThe best chance for financial \"help\" for people who can't afford it is to contact your local politician who can help make that included in any legislation. They want to hear from the patients directly who are affected by the cost.\n\nPerry Solomon, MD\n_____________________\nBeing that I'm in this same position, kinda I'm still fighting for my s.s.i. so no income other than cans and bottles, i'll need to put together money just to get the card to start with, so can you tell me what all I need and how much it will cost just to get me started with card? Then it will take more time to save more to actually by something to help. what is the average cost of buying something?\n\nlowlow\n_____________________\nYes, I hear you're frustration. However, for the goernment to even consider subsidy of patients in situations like yours, it has to be removed from the antiquated Schedule 1 (illegal status on the same level as cocaine, heroin) status it is on the federal level! There are MANY doctors as well as health care workers, lawyers, etc working on this right now. If you want to join the fight to help in medical legalization (then, hopefully government subsidization as you are mentioning in the far future), look into joining the folks at NORML.org and other like-minded organizations. To say that the \"entire government doesn't care\" is unfair though to those individuals working towards medical legalization in the 13 states (and counting) where you can obtain med. cann legally; there's just alot of work to be done\n\ndrpark","image":{"childImageSharp":{"fluid":{"base64":"data:image/jpeg;base64,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","aspectRatio":1.5151515151515151,"src":"/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/14b42/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.jpg","srcSet":"/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/f836f/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.jpg 200w,\n/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/2244e/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.jpg 400w,\n/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/14b42/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.jpg 800w,\n/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/47498/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.jpg 1200w,\n/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/0e329/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.jpg 1600w,\n/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/be1ee/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.jpg 4675w","srcWebp":"/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/58556/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.webp","srcSetWebp":"/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/61e93/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.webp 200w,\n/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/1f5c5/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.webp 400w,\n/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/58556/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.webp 800w,\n/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/99238/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.webp 1200w,\n/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/7c22d/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.webp 1600w,\n/static/0410684f8617b53b0d8552cae7a97584/3f7a5/46e0bb959830dc3e678d6052cf8634bf.webp 4675w","sizes":"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px"}}}}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9937-markdown","title":"In dispensaries, I feel workers push the high mg products for relief. I have been using 1/4-1/2 @ hs since then. Last week I was hospitalized at Stanford with a severe clotting problem: Acquired Factor VIII deficiency (have 1%) and had to start chemo because of the risk of internal bleeding. The ONLY change in my life was this brownie. Do you have any documentation around this? I am an MD and have been prescribing and I am very concerned about this. I could die from this and again, it is the only change in my life in the last few months. The hematologist at Stanford sees at the most one case per year. This is an acquired form of Hemophilia A, extremely rare but I really wonder if the HLT did this. I want to report it.\"\n_____________________\nIn all honesty that brownie would not cause that to happen. It was just a coincidence. You probably carried a gene from a parent and it's just now reaking havik. There was no mention of cannabinoids being linked to Acquired Favor VIII insufficiency , Hemophilia A or anything related. If anything , the article seemed to say in this experimental situation that cannabinoids seemed to increase clotting/ thrombogenic potential not cause delayed clotting times as seen in Factor VII insufficiency . source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2190025/.
