Always ask what the mg per ml is of both THC and CBD! I have many members that have asked for High CBD edibles only to have been given High CBD and also High THC. I have had many members have an uncomfortable event because it was not stated that there was also high THC in the edible. So ASK! what exactly is the mg per ml of both CBD and THC in an edible.\n\nPiantaTinta","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7972-markdown","title":"What is most benign cannabis delivery system for someone with emphysema, that is NOT an edible?","slug":"what-is-most-benign-cannabis-delivery-system-for-someone-with-emphysema-that-is-not-an-edible","content":"\"I cannot smoke. Have used PAX ERA and vape pens, they just don't feel benign. Are there cannabis inhalers yet?\"\n_____________________\nYes, there are cannabis inhalers which might be a good option for you. Rather than heating the cannabis, with the inhaler, a propellant carrying cannabinoids is sprayed out into your lungs. You might also try sublinguals. These are tinctures, sprays or dissolvable strips that you hold under your tongue and allow to dissolve. They take effect much more quickly than edibles and don't last as long so they are easier for dosing.\n\neearlenbaugh","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7951-markdown","title":"Using edibles or vaping with THC gives me headaches. Any suggestions?\"\n_____________________\nI'm based out of California and I've recently started using a couple of things that work for me. The first is low-dose (10mg THC) hybrid gummies, so a blend of indica and sativa, and even cutting one gummy and just eating half of it takes the edge off of stressful day for me. The other item I like to use is a 1:1 CBD:THC tincture that I originally purchased to help with pain management, but helps a lot with stress. A full dose is listed at 1ml, but taking just .25ml is great for my stress management. Good luck!\n\nkaishadyan","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7918-markdown","title":"Is it ok to use essential oils along with edible cannabis?","slug":"is-it-ok-to-use-essential-oils-along-with-edible-cannabis","content":"\n_____________________\nYes, absolutely. In fact, adding a few drops of essential oils to an edibles recipe can make for some delicious treats. Try adding rose or peppermint oil to cannabis chocolate, or for baked goods like muffins or cookies, mix in a couple drops of lavender oil.\n\nBe sure not to use too much essential oil, as the taste can overwhelm if your'e not careful. But when used sparingly, the subtle flavor of an essential oil can be the perfect compliment.\n\nrebeccaspence","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7752-markdown","title":"Is is possible that a caramel edible and a capsule affect me very differently?","slug":"is-is-possible-that-a-caramel-edible-and-a-capsule-affect-me-very-differently","content":"\n_____________________\nYes, it can make sense even though they are both edibles. First, are you aware of the milligrams of both products? Also, are you aware of the ratio, if there is one, of CBD to THC? The dosage of each will affect how you feel. There is a big difference between a 5mg edible and a 20 mg edible. Also, a caramel edible would be held in your mouth and sucked for most of the duration of eatin git, whereas a capsule is swallowed. I find that an edible that is sucked , the effect of that edible on me happens more quickly and is less subtle than an edible eaten immediately and metabolized by the liver. I take CBD sub lingually and it makes me feel great, if I take a capsule, the same dosage will make me feel a little lethargic. So, it comes down to a few different things. I hope this helps!\n\npamelahadfield","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7711-markdown","title":"I have severe sleep disorder originally triggered by late stage Lyme disease. Be mindful to avoid sativa strains close to bedtime, as they are likely to make you feel more energetic and stimulate cerebral activity that might make it difficult to rest when it's time to sleep.\n\nkastre","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7628-markdown","title":"I'm hoping I can get a low dose edible, spray or patch that can lower my knee and hand pain. What's the difference?","slug":"can-i-use-oil-instead-of-tinctures-in-making-edibles-whats-the-difference","content":"\n_____________________\nI would say it depends on what type of edibles you're intending to make. They are both carriers for the cannabinoids, nothing more, so match whichever vehicle fits your recipe best. Most baked items use butter or oil, but I prefer to use tincture in tea, or anything without fat in it. If it's heated beyond about 172F the alcohol will evaporate.\n\nmainah","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_10499-markdown","title":"Are there CBD edibles and are they effective for pain relief?","slug":"are-there-cbd-edibles-and-are-they-effective-for-pain-relief","content":"\n_____________________\nYes, there are CBD edibles. In general, absorption of cannabinoids in the blood stream is much faster for an inhalation product than consuming my mouth/ PO. The lungs are richly fed w/ blood through the pulmonary circulation; absorption by mouth requires waiting till the item reaches the stomach and intestine. In general, it only takes minutes for pts to feel an effect from cannabis after inhalation; for edibles this can vary from 30- 90+ minutes (also depending on how much food was in the stomach). In addition, many pt's have told me that ingestion often brings about a more tactile experience but this is only one observation. Most health professionals in the cannabis field would agree that the observed effects for edibles/ PO last longer (up to 6-8 hrs) vs 1-2 hrs via the inhalation route. However, these are purely based on pooled observational data & other clinicians probably can add to the list of observed differences between cannabis inhaled vs. PO/ by mouth. ; more long term studies are required.
