As an example, although Melissa noted two scientific papers that addressed the issue, one of them was a promising report but a small study, and one of them involved finding CB1 receptors in key brain sites involved in anxiety (CBD does not bind to CB1 receptors) and was not a clinical paper.  The good news is there is an enormous body of anecdotal evidence that CBD is helpful for patients experiencing anxiety, and there is zero evidence of any toxicity at all.  This means that you can feel free to do some cautious experimenting to find a preparation and dose that are helpful without fear of doing harm.
