However, you can get hemp-derived CBD products (less than 1% THC, which is the psychoactive component of cannabis) shipped to you; no prescription needed. My L5/S1 disc space is severely narrowed as well.  Want to find out what is causing the pain.  One Dr working diagnosis is sacroilliitis.  I had 2 injections into the L5/S1 joint (nerve root block did nothing, facet joint injection helped. Then I had an S/I joint injection - numbing agent helped for one day.  Pain is now localized over S/I joint and psoas/illiacus and down front of the leg.  I am trying yoga, and had been taking up to 1200 mg ibuprofen.  My yoga instructor suggested CBD and I was told to do 20/1 day and 8/1 night.  I am getting no pain relief so far, and only minimal muscle relaxation. CBD is a wonderful choice for theraputic relief of many medical issues, including pain. I do suggest adding some THC to the CBD given the extent of your injuries and your reported symptoms. Work with your dispensary to find a ratio of CBD: THC that meets your treatment goals.  Many patients have concerns that the THC will make them feel strange but your pharmacist can work with you to find a dosage that can balance the neurological effects of the THC (if any) with therapeutic pain relief. Many patients will use a low THC: high CBD product during the day and a high THC:low CBD product in the evenings and/or during sleep. There isn't a cookie cutter approach to management of pain so what works for one person may not work for another. I suggest keeping a log of all products and dosages you attempt for accurate tracking of what works and what doesn't. Take this log with you to the dispensary for an imformative discussion with your pharmacist. \n\nBest of luck! \n\njennifernp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9912-markdown","title":"Is there a way to get the pain patches if you live in Texas?","slug":"is-there-a-way-to-get-the-pain-patches-if-you-live-in-texas","content":"\n_____________________\nWe do carry CBD patches now that can be shipped to Texas. \n\nYou can check out the patch here: https://www.hellomd.com/products/5b579d8002f1740001522f06/cbd-topical-hemp-patch\n\nWe also have this product for pain relief: https://www.hellomd.com/products/5b5770d702f1740001522c60/cbd-aches\n\nBartSmart","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9909-markdown","title":"Is \"Sweet ReLeaf\" effective w/applied to spine fracture pain?","slug":"is-sweet-releaf-effective-w-applied-to-spine-fracture-pain","content":"\n_____________________\nTopically-applied products can be a great way to achieve pain relief and they have few side effects, so yes they can be an excellent option.\n\ndrbultman","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9890-markdown","title":"Best for nerve pain","slug":"best-for-nerve-pain-1","content":"","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9888-markdown","title":"What do you recommend to treat exhaustion?","slug":"what-do-you-recommend-to-treat-exhaustion","content":"\"I'm suffering from indigestion, pain, and exhaustion. I picked up Suncliff Sweet Skunk OG to try. Is this a good plan?\"\n_____________________\nIt could depend on the cause of your exhaustion.  If it could possibly be related to an underlying medical condition such as low blood counts or thyroid conditions for instance, the best plan would be to see your medical physician to be checked out.  If instead you believe it is more related to something like insomnia or stress, then certainly trying a balanced THC:CBD product in the evenings for sleep could be a good place to start.\n\ndrbultman","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9871-markdown","title":"Am I extra sensitive to THC?","slug":"am-i-extra-sensitive-to-thc","content":"\"I have been using Rick Simspon oil every day for 9 weeks, for migraine, major depressive disorder and anxiety. CBD has been excellent for treating severe pain. However the THC appears to be better for anxiety. The plan was to habituate to the THC by gradually increasing the dose. However despite daily use I still feel very effected i.e. spaced out, depersonalised and lethargic and have not been able to up the dose at all.  Am I extra sensitive to THC? (I take quite a big dose of CBD oil along side it, to try and minimise effects of THC)\"\n_____________________\nThere are alot of people like yourself that hit a plateau with the oil and cannot take a higher dose...I was going to suggest taking a higher dose of CBD, but you said that you already take CBD with it. There is a natural supplement that you can get at a health food store that is called Citicoline, which can help neutralize the uncomfortable effects of the THC oil. Also, there are a few natural foods that can also help counteract the effects, this info is from Dr. Ethan Russo. Cold lemonade, peppercorns, pine nuts and calamus root. They all contain terpenoids that help counteract the unwanted effects...hope this helps!!\n\nPiantaTinta","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9853-markdown","title":"Can smoking marijuana cause bloating?","slug":"can-smoking-marijuana-cause-bloating","content":"\"Hi, I've had my MM rec for almost 5 years now, and have used it off and on for pain, anxiety, stress, you name it.. but recently, I've experienced SEVERE bloating in my abdomen every time I use it (especially if I smoke it). It's  like my stomach swells up like a balloon and feels like it's gonna pop. I'm feeling the pressure in my chest now too. I usually use the vape pens, and I make my own cannabis infused coconut oil, that I use to make edibles. The swelling is less with those. When, or IF, I try to smoke any flowers, I don't do a lot.. but I wonder why I'm having this reaction to it. Anyone know what could be going on? \n\n\"\n_____________________\nIt sounds as if you are having some of the cannabis smoke entering your stomach, in essence \"swallowing\" the smoke. This may result is some burping as you release it. With the other methods you spoke of, the amount of smoke that enters your stomach may be less. Other then that I cannot think of a reason why that stomach bloating would occur.\n\nPerry Solomon, MD\n_____________________\nI have similar symptoms that you described and there are possibilities -- that do not include \"swallowing smoke\", especially since you said it also happens more mildly with edibles.  Consider that it might be a mild form of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome.  Its seldom documented medically unless patients present at ER with non-stop vomiting that is oddly only relieved by hot showers. Like you, the only symptoms I have are extreme bloating. If I stop smoking, within about 24-48 hours the bloating subsides and I look and feel as though I lost 30 lbs.\n\nvch881\n_____________________\nI have the same issue as vch881. I have trouble with marijuana and I am trying to reduce consumption. When I smoke daily, I end up with a bloated feeling in my stomach a sort of swolen throat feeling. It is not painful but there is a constant feeling like there's something stuck in my throat and I need to swallow. I also feel the need to drink a lot of water when I am smoking marijuana so that contributed to the bloated stomach. If I stop consuming marijuana for a day or two it all subsides and my stomach and throat feel fine again. This is just a personal anecdote from my experience with marijuana over the years. \n\nRedwhite85","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9835-markdown","title":"I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Barret's Esophagus, Pot's (heart condition), Reynaud's, severe migraines, ","slug":"i-have-ehlers-danlos-syndrome-barrets-esophagus-pots-heart-condition-reynauds-severe-migraines","content":"\"I have so much more that goes along with this condition and I have been told that there is NOTHING that can be done to help, treat, or given to me to ease my pain. What can be done I need BOTH! \"\n_____________________\nI assume you're referring to the physician that prescribes your opiates? Because cannabis remains a Schedule I drug at the federal level, many physicians are concerned that their medical license could be jeopardized if they are even indirectly involved in caring for a patient that consumes cannabis. You may need to start looking for a medical provider that take a more holistic approach and is supportive of your use of cannabis.\n\nashleigh","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9790-markdown","title":"what's good for diabetic nerve pain?","slug":"whats-good-for-diabetic-nerve-pain","content":"\n_____________________\nCBD & THCA seemed to be very good for diabetic neuritis and neuropathy and I encourage oral as well as topical applications including along the spine. We make Moxie Meds Relief 1:1 and Recovery 4:1 oral medications with full plant organic ethanol extraction, using CBD-rich flowers (not trim) grown following organic standards. The rest of our non-cannabis ingredients are certified organic and are added to increase therapeutic efficacy. If you have either severe pain or some level of THC tolerance, you'll likely find even parts CBD to THC (like our Relief 1:1) the most effective/strongest analgesic but there will often be some level of psychoactivity. If you are new to cannabis or need a less to non-psychoactive option for daytime needs, our Recovery 4:1 might be a better choice as most patients find it effective at reducing inflammation as well as pain, all without accompanying psychoactive effects. You could also consider utilizing the Recovery 4:1 during the morning and afternoon and the Relief 1:1 in the evening so that you get the best reduction of inflammation and pain relief possible hopefully without feeling a lack of focus or disruption to your workday. Finally, I would also suggest considering a topical medication in addition - to \"double up\" in the pain management, so to speak.\n\njessicapeters","image":null}}]}},"pageContext":{"limit":12,"skip":300,"numPages":54,"currentPage":26,"id":5599,"name":"Pain","slug":"pain","country":"US"}},"staticQueryHashes":["3949754563","4179947113","4202924991"]}
