For example, if sleep is a problem due to stress and anxiety and the mind not \"turning off\", then taking small doses of 20:1 during the day can help w/ the anxiety/stress levels and let people fall asleep easier and stay asleep. However, we do not suggest taking 20:1 right before bed b/c it can be stimulating. 1:1 is a good ratio to try right before bed and we recommend that in conjunction w/ certain other types of tinctures if treating something during the day. 20:1 for daytime, 1:1 before bed for anxiety, or possibly Wellness Blend during the day for certain types of pain and 1:1 before bed.\n\ntreatwellhealth","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_8063-markdown","title":"Are Kiva's Petra Mints recommended for sleeping at night? ","slug":"are-kivas-petra-mints-recommended-for-sleeping-at-night","content":"\"For sleeping \"\n_____________________\nHello! Kiva's Petra Mints look great for a number of reasons. Having a low dose or microdose of 2.5mg per mint allows for titrating the dose of cannabis edibles up slowly to avoid negative side effects from over-medicating. It appears that these mints use a variety of high quality ingredients. I probably would recommend these more for daytime use more than for sleeping because one of the ingredients is green tea matcha (a stimulant) which may keep you up past your bedtime. Also, something a bit stronger, RSO oil is concentrated and in a very small dose can do the same.\nWith tinctures, you can start off with a very low dose and slowly increase until you get the desired effect. Smoking or vaping helps with falling asleep but is more short term in my opinion.\nWe have high THC tinctures that are Indica strains to help with that....\n\nPiantaTinta","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7835-markdown","title":"What strain will calm the bladder to allow for more restful sleep?","slug":"what-strain-will-calm-the-bladder-to-allow-for-more-restful-sleep","content":"\n_____________________\nI would start with a whole plant tincture extract, applied under the tongue. I recommend trying a balanced ratio of CBD and THC (roughly equal amounts of CBD and THC, or more CBD than THC to start, with an increase of THC as needed). Start with a small dose, of a few milligrams of each THC and CBD, and gradually increase the dose as needed.\n\nandrewvanmd","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7810-markdown","title":"I need a product to help me sleep that I don't smoke. I would recommend you start with a CBD dominant (very little THC) sublingual tincture, then progress to oral capsules once you know the milligrams that work for you. If the insomnia is severe. I would suggest a combination of a sublingual tincture- because of its rapid effects that can help you fall asleep more quickly. And also capsules, which are released slower, making them effective at helping people stay asleep, for a total daily dosage of CBD 40-160 mg.\n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7765-markdown","title":"Will CBD resin help me sleep?","slug":"will-cbd-resin-help-me-sleep","content":"\n_____________________\nI have never heard of taking CBD resin for sleep. That does not mean people do not do it, but it's certainly more unusual. Typically people use varying doses of THC to sleep, in the form of an edible or vaping, for instance. For some people, CBD does do the trick, but i have equally heard of people not being able to sleep on CBD. It really depends upon you and what works best. If you have not tried THC, I might suggest a low micro dose of an edible. I take under 5mg and it helps me. With CBD, it would depend on the product, but in my experience a capsule or edible will make me very relaxed whereas a tincture does not. I am not a doctor and this is only my personal experience! I hope this helps.\n\npamelahadfield","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7763-markdown","title":"Would using topical creams help me sleep?","slug":"would-using-topical-creams-help-me-sleep","content":"\"What should I look for in terms of the CBD:THC ratio?\"\n_____________________\nPain is a deterrent to restorative sleep so please do rub your body down with a CBD dominant topical salve or cream to improve the quality of your sleep because the CBD's will block pain. I personally love a 2:1 ratio, CBD:THC salve But the proper ratio is often difficult to find with the salves and salves are regional so what I have in Northern California may not be the same in your area. Good luck in finding the proper medicine, it is worth the hunt.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7757-markdown","title":"I took cannabis to help me sleep, but instead it kept me up! You can try 1/2 tsp and go into your dispensary and discuss the effects with a pharmacist. I am quoting from @eeknight which may help from our \"Insomnia\" discussion board:\n\n\"Most people do not find CBD helpful for sleep. Most high CBD strains are sativa strains which tends to stimulate and uplift rather than relax. High CBD is great for daytime but for night time, I would suggest a High THC tincture, but use a low dose. With a low dose you get the benefit of body relaxation without the \"high\". With tinctures you can control the dose very easily. Most of our tinctures use Indica strains which are body relaxing and perfect for sleep. I find for myself THC tinctures help me sleep deeper and longer throughout the night.\"\n\nrachelnp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7711-markdown","title":"I have severe sleep disorder originally triggered by late stage Lyme disease. What strains do you recommend?","slug":"i-have-migraines-and-sleep-problems-what-strains-do-you-recommend","content":"\n_____________________\nDepending on what you have to do during the day you must adjust your medication to suite the situation you face during the day. \nIf you wake up with a migraine, it is early and a couple hours from the time you have to leave for work, drink a large glass of water, put CBD dominant salve on your neck to stop the muscle spasms, drink a mug of black coffee or black tea and vaporize a Jack Herer and your migraine should leave in about 10-20 min or you may repeat the process. When you have done a Sativa during the day, please be sure to do a high dose CBD at night (Like AC/DC) to bind with the THC in your body and it will make a powerful Indica and you will sleep and wake refreshed because you did high dose CBD at night and the longer you add more CBDs to your plan you will see in 1 month you are better but by 2 months you will notice a significant improvement in your health.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_10507-markdown","title":"Falling asleep is no problem.
