It is on the pricier side, but I am very impressed with the formula that they have produced. \r\n\r\nStrains that I personally have tried for sleep would be: Master OG, Granddaddy Purple, Pennywise, Platinum Girl Scout cookies, and Royal Kush. I would say that Master OG made me feel the sleepiest the quickest and that Pennywise is worth noting as it is a CBD strain, adding an extra dimension of relaxation. If any of your sleeplessness is due to anxiety or racing thoughts, a CBD strain will go a long way to help you rest.\r\n\r\nEach strain may affect you differently, so you may want to experiment with a few heavy indicas to see which works best with your own chemistry.\n\nryan\n_____________________\nWe sell a great tincture that is designed specifically to aid with sleep: Forest Nymph Sweet Dreams Tincture. Conversely, CBD has been shown to have little to no impact on your cardiovascular system and has been shown to decrease your heart rate. CBD can counteract the increase in heart rate from the THC as well, though in your situation I would imagine that you would only want to try something that would reduce your heart rate. I am not a doctor so above all you will want to consult your MD about this.\n\nHere are the (possibly outdated) studies that I have obtained this info from:\n\"Effects and interactions of natural cannabinoids on the isolated heart.\"\nNahas G, Trouve R. Typically both Indica and Sativa have paranoia listed as side effects. What are you trying to achieve with your Cannabis? Is it recreational or do you have a medical purpose and using cannabis?\nYou might actually like Full flower CBD.... It's not going to give you the high but you should feel really well and calm. If you prefer to vape oil there are high quality, pure CBD oils you could try.\nThere's also a nice app, Leafly... It will give you the typical characteristics of most all cannabis so you can always look for a strain that will give you what you need but exclude the paranoia.\nCheck it out... I think you will be happy you did..... Because you can enjoy your cannabis without paranoia and the delivery method is your choice.\n\ndrolson\n_____________________\nI would recommend using low ratio CBD strains as CBD has been know to have anti-psychotic and anti-anxiety properties. You can also browse cannabis blogs like Leafly, where they lists the most common traits of strains. I always do a quick google search of a strain before I try it. I usually keep some AC/DC on hand and if I am ever feeling uncomfortable or a little off, this goes a long way to combat feelings of anxiety and paranoia.\n\nryan","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6995-markdown","title":"What strains or preparations of cannabis would most mimic the effects of an opiate? I'd love to hear how this works for you!\n\nbfairgal\n_____________________\nHello there! I've read some case reports of pts and doctors unresponsive to other meds using opiates. My question is: do you think that your depression was linked to chronic pain issues? As for recreating the effect of an opiate, this is tricky because just like cann, pts have diff. subjective experiences when using different opiates just like people have different experiences when trying different cannabis strains. This is just supposition, but my guess is that you're going after something \"heavier\", that might be associated w/ more \"couch lock\" &/or with sleep. Why not try strains that have more THC &/or CBN, more indica-based strains. As for the depression mgmt, have yoiu been participating in any behavioral therapy like CBT/DBT? CBD strains do have anti-anxiety properties for most people. However, it can depend largely on one’s own personal biochemistry as to how an individual will respond to treatment with CBD. \n\nRegarding the second half of the question, there are an increasing number of CBD extract products on the market today. That being said, the number of CBD-rich extract products is still far lower than the number of THC-rich extract products. For some reason I am not responding to anything I have smoke with a ceramic vaporizer or with any of the vape pens from W vapes, Bhang and Jetty. And yes I have tried the top strains for pain mgmt and have not gotten any relief. I even tried Girl Scouts and some other various strains with various THC strengths and I don't respond not even with a slight buzz. My friends think it's from being on such strong Rx's for so long. It has been recommended I try oil. There seems to be lots of different schools of thought on it. Especially the RSO since it's hemp vs cannabis and the different cannabinoids. After having spent so much money on trying so many different strains I can't afford to play the guessing game with the oils especially after trying various weed strains and getting no relief or even a buzz from those with THC in them. I have researched oils and even looked at menus in an effort to learn more but it seems focused on making your own oil than what oils are out there and what the options are and results. Even with the RSO all about making your own and then you have the hemp vs cannabinoid issue of effectiveness. I've gotten very frustrated and spent close to $500 in all these various experiments so I am seeking guidance/advice. \"\n_____________________\nThc is absorbed through the body so much differently than prescription medication that I don't think that's going to be your problem. My aunt who has been on everything from morphine to Oxy for her health issues reacted veryyy well with a relatively low dose of an edible. Your issue is most likely dosing. I take cannabis to manage pain from a bulging disc in my neck that's running a nerve and it does so well for nerve pain, but you have to make sure to take enough. I find smoking the easiest way to dose... because if you aren't getting your relief quickly, you can always go back outside and smoke a few more drags and see how you feel then. If You smoke enough of a solid thc rich strain, you will literally be in deep sleep within half an hour! Unless for whatever reason your body doesn't metabolize thc.. and that's rare. That being said, make sure you're using good meds, take your time in finding your dose, and keep trying until you do so!\n\ncannabear","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6885-markdown","title":"With all these new cannabis laws coming about I want to look into growing my favorite strains...","slug":"with-all-these-new-cannabis-laws-coming-about-i-want-to-look-into-growing-my-favorite-strains","content":"\"I want to make sure that my medicine is not interrupted by the turbulence created by these new regulations. Most REC consumers aren't necessarily looking for high CBD in their cannabis.\"\n_____________________\nIts a very good question that no one knows the answer to. If people can purchase cannabis without a doctors recommendation, why pay the fee to get a evaluation? \n\nIf we look at Colorado the answer is quite clear, its all about taxes and money. The tax rate in CO for medicinal cannabis is 2.9%. The tax rate for recreational cannabis is 25%. In the years since CO passed their recreational cannabis laws, medicinal cannabis sales have remained relatively stable. With the low tax rate people have a chance to see a physician, become evaluated and if appropriate obtain a cannabis recommendation to purchase lower priced cannabis to help them heal. There are politicians in CA who feel that all cannabis users should be taxed the same since if not, the \"sick\" people will remain sick. Of course the state loses out on the revenue.\n\nIn WA where there are no more medicinal dispensaries, all cannabis is taxed the same and there is less and less availability of certain types of cannabis for patients to use. \n\nWhich way CA goes it Prop 64 passes will take a lot of lot effort in the coming years to make sure that the medicinal dispensary remains a option for people who depend on that type of cannabis to help them.\n\nPerry Solomon, MD\n_____________________\nYour concern regarding patient access to much needed medicine is one that I've heard throughout the cannabis community in California lately. First, know that Proposition 64 will not automatically create adult use dispensaries should it pass. This means that the existing medical community will still be in play (provided they are in compliance with MCRSA and other regulations) until at least 2018. \n\nSecond, this poses an opportunity for patients (and providers) to advocate for sensible regulations around the medical program as its being developed in the coming months. To make sure patients have access to the types of strains, forms of ingestion, and other means of obtaining medical cannabis we must advocate as a community during the MEDICAL cannabis regulatory process. Hopefully we will not see high CBD fall aside in favor of high THC strains post-legalization.\n\nsunshinel","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6809-markdown","title":"best strain for degenerative arthritis ","slug":"best-strain-for-degenerative-arthritis","content":"\"degenerative arthritits in my hips that also causes bursitis flares.
