CBD reduces inflammation by manipulating the  inflammatory cascade to produce fewer pro-inflammatory pain mediators, such as tumor necrosis factor alpha and prostaglandin E2. CBD also modulates  the CB1 and CB2 receptors to support the analgesic and  anti-inflammatory effects of THC, and also inhibits the enzymes that  metabolize THC, thereby further supporting THC. These effects occur soon after  CBD enters the circulation; onset of pain relief should take no longer than 30 minutes when taking a CBD oil.</p>\n<p>However, CBD is lipophilic—so it can and will be stored in fat.  Therefore, chronic administration could lead to a slow release of CBD from adipose (fat) tissue, back into the circulation.
