Thanks for the question. All materials used in the Firefly 2 have been certified safe for use with foods well above the temperatures present in the Firefly 2. This means the materials have been tested for off gassing as well as physical transfer into air and other materials. The food safety testing is the most available and widely used test for consumer toxicity protection and since the temperatures in cooking are just as high as ours this is the best type of testing for vaporizers.
