Thank you.\"</p>\n<hr>\n<p>Cannabinoids in cannabis (THC and CBD) have been known to help with pain and inflammation, respectively. I would start with CBD (anti-inflammatory) only product as it may be enough to manage the pain; without introducing the risk of psychoactive side effects. Osteoarthritis (OA) pain is one of the most common types of pain in seniours. OA pain manifests as a combination of inflammatory, nociceptive, and neuropathic pain, each requiring modality-specific analgesics (O'Brien &#x26;  McDougall, 2018).  More and more elderly people turn to medical cannabis to manage their symptoms.<br>\nSince your dad is 80 years old and we do not know anything about his general health condition , previous health history and mediction that he is on, I would not recommend to satart with any product containing THC. Pure CBD oil can be ideal option for your dad in the OA treatment, for the beginning. Later on when he tryes CBD oil only and does not have any adverse effect , small dose of THC can be added.\nTHC in high proportion can be started as a topical treatment over painful sites. Because it applyes through the skin, topicals do not give undisarable psychomotor effect.
