HelloMD sponsored the pop up event called Mindful Haven, which is one in a series of Haven-style events. Dee Dussault, the founder of Ganja Yoga, and also the author of the new book Ganja Yoga, led the first half of the event with her relaxing style of yoga.\n\nJaene Leonard followed Dee seamlessly with a guided iRest Nidra Meditation. Nidra in Sanskrit means ‘sleep’ and Jaene has been leading guided meditation sessions throughout the Bay Area  for years. She has also taught her iRest Nidra class at Harborside Health Center as part of a pilot program for veterans.\n\nRachel Dugas finished the afternoon with an immersive sound bath. Rachel leads sound baths throughout California and says she enjoys \"guiding people through a healing journey through the use of sound and cannabis.\" Following Rachel's sound bath, a participant exclaimed \"I felt like I just went on a 3 day retreat!\".\n\nHelloMD will continue to host Haven events, which support a sense of community around cannabis as a tool for health and wellness. Danny has been doing sound immersion for Stanford University’s Health Improvement Program as well as many yoga, wellness & spiritual centers throughout the SF Bay Area and Santa Cruz.\n\nDanny explains, “The physiological impact of sound on the body, emotions & cognition is apparent. Laying down on our mats with plush pillows, Danny started a group meditation through the use of sound immersion that reverberated through every inch the body. At one point he placed a metal singing bowl upon my chest and the sound vibrated to my fingertips. \n\nAfter an hour of this incredible journey I felt both relaxed but also mentally alert. I also met many new emerging brands within the space including Katie Brooke Callahan, a former makeup artist for Lady Gaga who has now started Belle Fleur Apothecary, a cannabis brand focused on skincare.
