It's a time for clean sweeps, new starts, and the promise of returning to normal life – and cannabis can help. Whether you're planning to clear out your closets, get outside for a long hike, or embark on a new project, we've provided a roundup of eight invigorating cannabis strains for boosting clarity, energy, and productivity. Spring is a time for fresh starts!\n\n### Understandung Strains, THC and Terpenes\n\nMany people associate cannabis with feeling calm, relaxed and an associated pleasant buzz. But there's another side to the cannabis Sativa plant. Some of its many strains can promote feelings of alertness, energy, and mental focus instead of a sleepy \"couch lock.\" \n\nIt really depends on the composition of the cannabis strain you choose. All variants of the cannabis Sativa plant contain more than a hundred compounds. Many of them still haven't been thoroughly researched, but a number of studies have focused on a core group of compounds that occur in relatively large amounts across cannabis strains. \n\nThe best known of these \"primary cannabinoids\" are THC (delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol), the main psychoactive compound within cannabis. Non-psychoactive CBD (cannabidiol), is also well known and is responsible for many of the medical benefits of cannabis including reducing seizures and anxiety.\n\nEach cannabis strain has a [unique combination of compounds and terpenes](https://www.healthline.com/health/sativa-vs-indica#cannabinoids-and-terpenes), and its effects depend on which ones dominate. Cannabis strains are typically classified as \"sativa,\" \"indica,\" or hybrid – a combination of the two. Although research reveals that [there isn't much difference](https://www.insider.com/why-theres-no-difference-between-indica-and-sativa-marijuana-strains-2020-4) between the two on a molecular level, these labels make it easy to talk about the different effects cannabis may have. \n\n Sativa strains tend to boost energy and enhance focus because they typically contain considerable amounts of THC. This can help create an energizing \"head high\" that helps calm stress and encourage creativity and productivity. The effects of THC are moderated in these strains by the presence of CBD. \n\nLow-THC strains are generally associated with calming, relaxing cannabis effects. That's why strains higher in CBD have many therapeutic applications, such as relief for pain or the symptoms of anxiety and depression.\n\nEvery spring brings new hope and new ambitions – and this year, that's more important than ever. The uplifting, invigorating cannabis strains below can give you the boost you need to launch new projects and get things done this spring.\n\nWith that in mind, here's our collection of energizing, mood boosting cannabis strains to put a spring in your step with the seasonal change.\n\n### Super Silver Haze\nThe award-winning [Super Silver Haze](https://hellomd.com/strains/super-silver-haze) is a Sativa strain with a THC content that ranges between 16 and 23 percent and a minimal amount of CBD. This pine-scented flower is known for its energizing and uplifting effects that encourage creativity and productivity during busy days. \n\nThe mood-boosting effects of Super Silver Haze make it a good choice for relieving stress, anxiety, and depression, and it can support focus and concentration in people with ADD or ADHD. Like other Sativa strains with a considerable amount of THC, Super Silver Haze can also be an effective pain reliever.\n\n### Jillybean\nA hybrid strain with a scent reminiscent of pineapple and mango, [Jillybean](https://hellomd.com/strains/jillybean) boosts energy and elevates mood. Jillybean contains around 13 to 18 percent THC, with less than one percent CBD. The relatively low THC content delivers energizing Sativa effects without triggering the anxiety and paranoia that many high THC strains can cause.\n\n Jillybean's uplifting effects on mood make it a good option for relieving stress and the symptoms of anxiety and depression. It's also helpful for balancing mood during PMS or menopause and relieving minor aches and pains from various causes.\n\n### Dirty Girl\n\nWith a flavor suggesting lemons, berries, and pineapple, [Dirty Girl](https://hellomd.com/strains/dirty-girl) is a fragrant Sativa strain with THC content that reaches 24 percent, with minimal CBD. Dirty Girl boosts mood and motivation, making it a useful companion for powering through daily activities.\n\nDirty Girl's uplifting and energizing effects can help relieve anxiety, stress and depression, and the pain and malaise of migraine. Dirty Girl is known to have a cerebral effect, but it can also be helpful for mild pain.\n\n### Chocolope\n\nChocolope is an [award-winning Sativa strain](https://hellomd.com/strains/chocolope) that produces energizing, motivating effects for better focus and productivity. With a complex, sweet taste and a THC content that ranges between 12 and 22 percent, Chocolope also boosts mood and encourages a sense of overall well-being. \n\nChocolope also appeals to medical cannabis patients seeking relief from depression, anxiety, and fatigue. Its focusing qualities can also support concentration and help people with ADD and ADHD to manage daily tasks.\n\n### Super Lemon Haze\n\nThis popular hybrid cannabis strain is high in terpenes that produce a strong citrus taste and scent. With a THC content that can approach 25 percent, [Super Lemon Haze](https://hellomd.com/strains/super-lemon-haze) has invigorating, upbeat effects that support creativity, motivation and activity. The relatively high THC content can also stimulate the appetite – but it can cause anxiety in those new to cannabis or sensitive to THC.\n\nThe mood-boosting and energizing qualities of Super Lemon Haze can help with anxiety, depression, and chronic fatigue. Some say it can relieve pressure in the head and face from sinus problems and migraine.\n\n### Agent Orange\n\nAlthough this citrusy hybrid strain bears the name of an infamous Vietnam War-era toxin, the name actually refers to its intense orange flavor and scent. \n[Agent Orange](https://hellomd.com/strains/agent-orange) creates a euphoric, energetic feeling that can help you power through the tasks of the day. Afterward, you're likely to feel relaxed but not exhausted.\n\n Along with boosting productivity and mood, Agent Orange can also help to relieve stress and ease migraine pain. With 15 percent THC to around one percent CBD, Agent Orange can also alleviate depression, anxiety, and attention deficit disorder symptoms.\n\n\n### Tangerine\n\nAs its name implies, [Tangerine](https://hellomd.com/strains/tangerine)\n has a strong, distinctly citrus fragrance and flavor that makes it a popular addition to edibles. This sativa strain has a THC content of 18 to 22 percent, but it also averages 2 percent CBD. Tangerine has energizing, mood boosting effects that make it ideal for things like spring cleaning or studying into the night, it's well known for it's uplifting effects\n\nTangerine's mood-boosting effects help relieve depression, anxiety, and stress, making it a popular choice during COVID-19. Because it has a higher CBD content than many other energizing cannabis strains, it can also help with health issues such as chronic pain, nausea, and migraine. \n\n### Super Sour Diesel\n\nSuper Sour Diesel traces its parentage to Super Silver Haze, and [this herbal, earthy Sativa hybrid strain](https://hellomd.com/strains/super-sour-diesel) has many of the same buzzy cerebral effects. Super Sour Diesel contains between 18 and 24 percent THC, so it produces euphoric, energetic effects that encourage creativity and productivity. In large amounts, though, it can cause paranoia and anxiety, so it's wise to consume with caution.\n\nSuper Sour Diesel may relieve migraine pain and pressure, and its mood boosting qualities can help treat depression and anxiety. It can also be helpful in treating chronic pain from a variety of causes.\n\n### How to Use Cannabis to Boost Your Energy\n\nInvigorating, uplifting cannabis strains can be consumed in a variety of ways. Smoking is a time-honored way to get the benefits of cannabis quickly, but burning cannabis can create harmful toxins. \n\nVaping also moves cannabis compounds into the bloodstream quickly but without the toxic byproducts of combustion. From an intractable pandemic to economic uncertainty and political turmoil, a long list of unprecedented events is adding new stressors to an already stressed-out world. \n\nTo cope with a near-constant barrage of stressors large and small, mental health professionals and wellness advocates [recommend a variety of strategies](https://www.helpguide.org/articles/stress/stress-symptoms-signs-and-causes.htm#:~:text=Causes%20of%20stress,on%20you%20can%20be%20stressful.) including exercise, meditation, better sleep and a healthy diet. Severe stress, anxiety and depression can also be helped with medications that calm anxiety and boost the uptake of the brain’s natural “feel good” chemicals serotonin and dopamine. \n\nBut a growing body of research suggests that [cannabis can relieve stress and anxiety](https://www.healthline.com/health/marijuana-and-anxiety)\nwithout the side effects of many medications – and pairing it with stress-relieving supplements like valerian and kava kava might amplify its stress-busting powers. Below we list 5 stress-busting killer combos of popular cannabis strains paired with vitamins and herbs.\n\n### 5 Popular Marijuana Strains Combined with Herbs & Vitamins \n\nAlong with cannabis, a number of [herbs and vitamins](https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/vitamins-for-stress)\ncontain ingredients that can help to relieve symptoms of stress, and [many of these supplements](https://takecareof.com/articles/best-vitamins-supplements-for-stress-and-anxiety) can be combined with cannabis for an extra boost of calming chemicals during stressful times. Here’s a list of five cannabis and supplement combinations that can calm stress and relieve anxiety. Mix and match them as you like, since there are no known negative interactions between cannabis and any of these natural substances.\n\n### 1. ACDC and Kava Kava\n\nACDC is a very high CBD strain that has virtually no THC. It’s evenly balanced between indica and sativa, and it’s often used to “take the edge off” experiences that can cause stress or anxiety. Kava Kava derives from the root of the Kava (piper methysticum) plant and contains kavalactone, a substance that interferes with the breakdown of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), a chemical that calms activity in the central nervous system and promotes feelings of relaxation and comfort. \n\n### 2. Grandaddy Purple and Rhodolia\n\n[Grandaddy Purple]( https://www.hellomd.com/strains/granddaddy-purple) promotes a relaxed, happy feeling along with relieving insomnia and pain. This high-indica strain is regularly used for easing the symptoms of stress and anxiety. It can be paired with rhodolia (rhodolia rosea), an herb whose roots work as an [adaptogen](https://www.hellomd.com/articles/adaptogens-what-are-they-and-how-to-combine-them-with-cbd) – a substance that boosts the body’s natural responses to \\stress. Wellness advocates say that rhodolia can also help with insomnia, chronic fatigue and stress-related burnout.\n\n### 3. OG Kush and Melatonin\n\nThe venerable [OG Kush](https://www.hellomd.com/strains/og-kush) ranks among the best cannabis strains for stress relief. This high-THC strain causes relaxation and an uplifting euphoria, and it may also help with insomnia, anxiety and migraines. Melatonin is a hormone made naturally in the pineal gland, and it’s typically released after dark to prepare the body for sleep. But melatonin may also relieve symptoms of stress. A recent study found that melatonin could reduce stress and anxiety before surgery as well as the prescription sedative midazolam.\n\n\n### 4. Girl Scout Cookies and Valerian\n\n[Girl Scout Cookies](https://www.hellomd.com/strains/gsc) is a potent indica dominant hybrid strain that may relieve stress, reduce pain and combat symptoms of depression. Valerian (from the root of the Valeriana officinalis plant) has been called “nature’s Valium” for its ability to reduce stress and anxiety, and it also supports sleep. Research indicates that, like Kava Kava, it helps to inhibit the breakdown of GABA in the brain. Valerian also contains compounds that seem to inhibit excessive activity in the amygdala, a part of the brain associated with fear and other strong emotional responses.\n\n\n### 5. Jack Herer and B-Complex Vitamins\n\n[Jack Herer](https://www.hellomd.com/strains/jack-herer) is a classic combination of indica and sativa strains that’s known for its ability to boost concentration and focus, but users also say it helps to reduce stress and symptoms of anxiety. B-Complex vitamins include the full range of 8 B vitamins, which are essential for transforming food into energy and keeping the brain and heart healthy. But B vitamins can also lower levels of homocysteine, an amino acid associated with stress that also plays a role in the development of blood clots and artery damage. \n\n### Understanding Stress\n\nStress is often described as the natural “fight or flight” response to a perceived threat of some kind. It’s a protective response that keeps us energized, alert and aware of our surroundings during a crisis, a dangerous situation – or even an exciting, pleasant event like getting married or moving to a new city. The stress response can also help people rise to meet challenges like making a speech, playing a competitive game or studying for a difficult exam. \n\nWhen the brain perceives a threat or recognizes a new challenge, the nervous system releases excitatory hormones including adrenaline (epinephrine), norepinephrine and cortisol. These hormones act on multiple systems throughout the body to prepare it for meeting the threat. The heart beats faster, pumping blood to the muscles, blood pressure rises, and sensory systems become hyper-acute. \n\nUnder normal circumstances, once the stressful event is past, stress levels would decrease and the body would relax and return to a more normal state. But in this modern world, especially one affected by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and multiple other crises, the body’s stress responses may remain in high gear virtually all the time. When stress responses are always “on,” the flood of excitatory hormones can disrupt health in a variety of ways.\n\nChronic stress can exacerbate existing health problems or create new ones such as insomnia, weight loss or gain, digestive problems and “brain fog” or trouble with concentration and memory. High stress levels can accelerate the aging process and raise the risk of heart attack or stroke. Stress can also contribute to mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.\n\nA variety of self-care options can help to reduce stress, such as exercising more or trying relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation. Prescription medications such as Prozac, Xanax or Celexa can also help to manage symptoms of stress and anxiety. \n\nBut some research indicates that the relaxing properties of cannabis or cannabis compounds combined with calming [herbal and vitamin supplements](https://www.hellomd.com/articles/5-natural-supplements-to-boost-your-mental-health) can offer relief for many people struggling with chronic stress.\n\n### Cannabis Relieves Stress and Anxiety\n\nOne reason for the enduring popularity of cannabis is its calming, relaxing and lightly euphoric effect. Compounds in the cannabis sativa plant, mainly cannabidiol (CBD) and delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, act on the brain’s neurological pathways to promote the expression of mood-boosting chemicals such as serotonin, dopamine and the body’s natural calming cannabinoid anandamide. \n\nA [recent study](https://www.healtheuropa.eu/cannabis-combats-stress/93193/) from Washington State University found that inhaling cannabis could lower stress levels. That’s a key change from previous studies, which used cannabis in pill form in a laboratory setting, rather than exploring the effects of cannabis as it’s normally consumed. \n\nIn this study, researchers found that the largest reduction in stress came from 10 or more puffs of cannabis strains high in both CBD and THC, while just two puffs of any kind of cannabis could reduce symptoms of anxiety.\n\nIt’s important to note that for some people, cannabis can also cause feelings of paranoia and anxiety, particularly when it’s high in THC, the chemical responsible for the euphoric high. But the Washington State study provides solid scientific support for the stress relieving benefits of [certain kinds of cannabis](https://topscannabis.com/6-of-the-best-weed-strains-for-stress-anxiety/).\n\n\nStress affects just about everyone, although in very different ways. But the “killer combo” of the most relaxing cannabis strains and supplements can give stressed-out people a new and natural way to cope.\n\n\n","image":{"childImageSharp":{"fluid":{"base64":"data:image/png;base64,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","aspectRatio":1.492537313432836,"src":"/static/dba6481db20bf5fdd73c77f61d618bfc/ee604/9dc05d4f2c5901a43ac125af873a7cf7.png","srcSet":"/static/dba6481db20bf5fdd73c77f61d618bfc/69585/9dc05d4f2c5901a43ac125af873a7cf7.png 200w,\n/static/dba6481db20bf5fdd73c77f61d618bfc/497c6/9dc05d4f2c5901a43ac125af873a7cf7.png 400w,\n/static/dba6481db20bf5fdd73c77f61d618bfc/ee604/9dc05d4f2c5901a43ac125af873a7cf7.png 800w,\n/static/dba6481db20bf5fdd73c77f61d618bfc/f3583/9dc05d4f2c5901a43ac125af873a7cf7.png 1200w","srcWebp":"/static/dba6481db20bf5fdd73c77f61d618bfc/58556/9dc05d4f2c5901a43ac125af873a7cf7.webp","srcSetWebp":"/static/dba6481db20bf5fdd73c77f61d618bfc/61e93/9dc05d4f2c5901a43ac125af873a7cf7.webp 200w,\n/static/dba6481db20bf5fdd73c77f61d618bfc/1f5c5/9dc05d4f2c5901a43ac125af873a7cf7.webp 400w,\n/static/dba6481db20bf5fdd73c77f61d618bfc/58556/9dc05d4f2c5901a43ac125af873a7cf7.webp 800w,\n/static/dba6481db20bf5fdd73c77f61d618bfc/99238/9dc05d4f2c5901a43ac125af873a7cf7.webp 1200w","sizes":"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px"}}}}},{"node":{"id":"Article_3127-markdown","title":"HelloMD Launches Telehealth Service for Medical Cannabis in New York","slug":"hellomd-launches-telehealth-service-for-medical-cannabis-in-new-york","content":"### HelloMD Launches Telehealth Service for Medical Cannabis in New York \n\n\nHelloMD, a digital health platform for non-traditional care, announced its return to the US with a flagship launch in the state of New York. BeKind’s Chemdawg flowers clock in at 23.7% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), so beginners and those who are sensitive to THC should practice caution. More experienced users are in for a ride—expect stimulating conversations, heightened senses and tingling body sensations. The Chemdawg high can last for quite some time. But as it winds down, consumers are in for a good night’s sleep or a rejuvenating afternoon nap. \n\nMedical marijuana patients looking for relief from pain, PTSD, anxiety or depression could benefit from this strain’s powerful effects on the body and mind. \n\n### 2. OG Kush\n\n![OG Kush](https://hellomd-development.s3.amazonaws.com/markdown-image-injector-468d7829-e5bf-4d9d-b7cf-eec6fef987b4/original.png)\n\nA California classic, [OG Kush](https://www.hellomd.com/strains/5a7cce66d520d60009f4f4ab/og-kush) combines a heavy, yet blissful cerebral high with body-melting physical effects that often lead to couch lock. Equal parts relaxing and stimulating, consumers can expect a long-lasting high from this well-balanced strain, which combines the mellow effects of Blueberry and cerebral qualities of Haze. BeKind’s Blue Dream flowers test at 23.8%, so while this cannabis strain is often touted as a good option for newbies, those sensitive to THC should temper their dosing when using this particular flower.\n\nBlue Dream is crowd-pleaser among both the recreational and medical marijuana community. It’s a suitable strain for many daytime activities, like socializing with friends, but can also be used to combat many types of pain like those stemming from fibromyalgia, arthritis and menstrual issues. \n\n### 4. This stinky sativa hybrid has a pungent, fuel-like aroma and is often compared to strong cup of coffee. BeKind’s Sour Diesel flowers clock in at 20.7% THC—consumers can expect cerebral effects that may spark conversation and creativity. \n\nMedical marijuana consumers enjoy this strain for the calm mental focus it provides, making it an appropriate choice for those seeking relief from depression, anxiety, stress and ADD/ADHD. Sour Diesel’s effects tend to be more mentally inclined, so those looking for pain relief may want to seek out a different strain. \n\nMain photo credit: [Daria Lipova](https://www.flickr.com/people/daria_lipova/)\n\nIf you’re new to cannabis and want to learn more, take a look at our [Cannabis 101](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/cannabis-101-your-quick-guide-to-medical-marijuana) post. Dispensaries typically stock a wide array of cannabis products that come in a variety of forms—from flower and concentrates to edibles and topicals. Cannabis is often associated with smoking, and though that’s one way patients can use it, marijuana can also be vaped, eaten, rubbed on your skin and even taken under the tongue. \n\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en)\n\nEach method for taking cannabis can result in different effects for the patients using them. For this reason, it’s important to get an idea of what the differences mean in order to figure out which form is best for you. In this article, part of a series for folks new to cannabis, we’ll go over some of the basic forms of cannabis typically found in your local dispensary. \n\n### Marijuana Flower\n\nIn a number of places where marijuana’s legal, you’ll find it in the form of dried flower. An extremely versatile form, dried marijuana flowers can be:\n\n>* smoked\n>* vaporized\n>* made into edibles\n>* used for capsules or tinctures \n>* infused into topicals\n\nMost patients smoke or vaporize the cannabis flower they buy, because these are the most direct ways to consume it—and products like edibles and topicals can be purchased already made. If you don’t know what you’re doing, it can be tricky to turn flower into other cannabis products like edibles or topicals. Still, for more adventurous patients, cannabis flower can be turned into almost any of the products you can find in the dispensary. From cannabis concentrates to edibles and topical rubs, it all starts with the cannabis flower. With the right recipe, the possibilities are endless. \n\n### Cannabis Concentrates\n\nLike cannabis flower, cannabis concentrates are extremely versatile and varied. \nThese extracts are essentially concentrated versions of the marijuana flower they were made from. Manufacturers use a variety of different methods to extract the most medicinal compounds from the flower; the result is a more potent version of the medicine. Concentrates can come in a variety of colors, from opaque black to clear and colorless with a large spectrum of colors in between. Meanwhile, contentrate textures can run the gamut from wet and runny or dry and crumbly to sticky and flexible like taffy or hard and brittle like sugar candy.\n\nAs with cannabis flower, marijuana extracts can be:\n \n>* smoked\n>* vaporized\n>* made into edibles\n>* used for capsules or tinctures \n>* infused into topicals\n\nOne thing to be aware of is that some methods of processing these extracts involve the use of chemical solvents. Some of the chemicals commonly used, such as butane, have known health risks to humans. While these chemicals can be removed when the processing is done right, some extract makers do leave traces of these chemicals behind.\n\nIt’s important to know how your concentrate was made and whether any trace chemicals remain. Always look for concentrates that have been tested for residual chemical solvents to ensure you’re getting the safest medicine possible. You can also look for concentrates that weren’t processed with chemicals. Water hash and rosin are two great options that don’t use chemical solvents in their process. \n\n### Cannabis Edibles\n\nCannabis is also available in a large variety of edible products. In many dispensaries, you can find infused treats like cookies, brownies, candies and ice cream, savory options like BBQ sauce or frozen pizza, or cooking basics like infused butters or oils that you can incorporate into your own recipes. Cannabis sodas, juices, coffee and infused waters are also hitting the market in a number of areas.\n\nYou can also find edible cannabis products that are more utilitarian in nature. Some patients don’t like to have their medicine tied to a particular food and prefer edible options like tinctures and capsules that can be taken with or without food. \n\nWhatever products you choose, make sure you pay careful attention to dosing. It’s easy to accidentally take too much when you’re consuming edibles. If you’re new to edibles, start with a very small dose and wait for two hours before assessing whether your dose was enough to produce the desired effect. Edibles can take a long time to start working, so take your time with finding your ideal dose. \n\n### Marijuana Topicals \n\nYou can also use cannabis in topical forms. Marijuana-infused oils, creams, masks and balms can be very effective at relieving pain and inflammation when applied directly to the skin. Most patients find that topicals have no psychoactive effects and only affect them locally, where the infused product was applied.\n\nTopicals are a great option for folks who tend to feel overwhelmed by the mental effects of cannabis, but still want relief from aches and pains. They typically provide fast-acting relief when applied to wherever you’re experiencing pain. \n\n ### Finding the Best Method for You\n\nWhat we’ve covered here is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the many ways you can use cannabis. In the next several installments of the Cannabis for Newbies series, we’ll go over the different ways you can use cannabis and the reasons why you might favor one method over another. \n\nPhoto credit: [Brian Shamblen](https://www.flickr.com/photos/23972840@N04/)\n\nNeed a medical marijuana recommendation? Now that I have a fresh supply of organic, pesticide free leaves I’m an even bigger fan. I order my leaves weekly from my friend Nurit at Ona.Life. Ona.Life is the first service in California to offer freshly cut cannabis leaves for juicing and Ona.Life ships statewide. Whoop, whoop!\n\nThe leaves add a huge, zesty flavor to my green juice without a psychoactive high. It is packed full of THCA, what I call the powerhouse cannabinoid full of all the same benefits CBD offers and a massive load of antioxidants. People, this is the new wheatgrass, only better! Bonus: your leaves keep fresh in the fridge for two weeks, you can freeze them or you can juice it all and make THCA green ice cubes to use in your juice every morning. This makes dosing (or microdosing) easy and consistent. Personally, I like to take two beans together, and then might add a third about an hour later. This 10 – 15mg range puts me in a wonderful, happy mood for the evening, enhances the sound of music and leaves me sharp enough to cook and enjoy a delicious meal with my family. It’s the perfect Friday night wind down after a usually stressful week.\n\nRELATED: [MICRODOSING: THE BIG NEW TREND](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/5874285019303000083745bc/microdosing-the-big-new-trend)\n\nThere is no hint of cannabis in the flavor. It’s just a combination of great tasting dark chocolate, which I love, and the roasted espresso coffee bean. I am not sure the espresso bean is enough to provide a wake-up kick, but it might, and so this is an added bonus for me.\n\n### Level Blends: 1:1 Uplift Vape Cartridge\nReview by: Michael Litchfield - VP of Marketing/ Find it: [Level](https://www.hellomd.com/biz/level)\n\n![](https://hellomd-production.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/58efe42d1fc3e70a07f019c8/embedded_images/58f10c1a1fc3e7594af019fc/Screen_Shot_2017-04-14_at_10.50.53_AM.png)\n\nUplift, from Level Blends, is my go-to cannabis product du jour. It is a cannabis oil cartridge and pen, and I know that by using it I won’t feel too high. Uplift is the Goldilocks product – it’s not too much, not too little – it’s just right, with equal parts CBD and THC. In fact, so long as I regulate my dose I don’t feel even the slightest bit high, instead I feel just the right amount of relaxed. \n\nPerfect for the evening and a great aid for letting go of the stresses and anxieties that accumulate through the day. And for me, it has the added advantage of taking the edge off a chronic knee pain that’s been following me around for years. All that in a single product. The battery part of the pen is a little different too, it has an adjustable voltage selector on the base that alters the temperature of the heating coil.\n\nUseful if you are of the type that believes vapor from oil heated at a lower temp is more efficient. And it looks great too - the perfect combination of svelte and steam-punk.\n\n### HMBLDT Relief Vape Pen\nReview by: Ashleigh- Director of Operations/ Find it: [True Farma](http://truefarma.com/hello-md/)\n\n![](https://hellomd-production.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/58efe42d1fc3e70a07f019c8/embedded_images/58efe7b41fc3e7088bf01a0d/Screen_Shot_2017-04-13_at_1.59.59_PM.png)\n\nThe first thing you notice is that HMBLDT pens are beautifully packaged. They have a clean and sleek aesthetic reminiscent of high-end cosmetics, rather than cannabis. There is no reference to anything ‘stoner’, such as cannabis plants or a green color palette. You can feel comfortable carrying this with you as it’s very discrete. They are color-coded and clearly labelled as to their intended-effect: Calm, Relief, Bliss, and Sleep. \n\nThey are no buttons or temperature controls to fuss with, making them very easy to use. The pens emit vapor which is surprisingly cool and mildly flavored; perfect for those who do not particularly enjoy the smell/taste of cannabis, but are seeking its medicinal effects. The pens are activated by inhalation, and vibrate at the end of a 3-second inhalation. The impressive technology of the HMBLDT delivery system means that each 3-second dose results in precisely 2.25mg of medication, regardless or the length or  aggressiveness of inhalation. \n\n### Bhang Cookies and Cream Chocolate\nReview by: Dmitry - Videographer and Personality (Lots)/ Find it: Bhang\n\n![](https://hellomd-production.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/58efe42d1fc3e70a07f019c8/embedded_images/58efe95ff3fb4a0048477155/Screen_Shot_2017-04-13_at_2.06.39_PM.png)\n\nI love my Bhang Cookies and Cream! Eating this edible gives you very cerebral feeling and it also is what I call a holistic product. My wife is very sensitive to cannabis so she can only take very clean and organically sourced cannabis and Bhang cookies and cream is a good example of how the edible should be done! This is a great 4.20 choice!\n\n### Pax Era Single Origin Pods - Jack Herer \nReview by: Melissa - Customer Service Lead/ Find it: [Get Sava](https://www.hellomd.com/biz/sava)\n\n![](https://hellomd-production.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/58efe42d1fc3e70a07f019c8/embedded_images/58f10c151fc3e7594af019f9/Screen_Shot_2017-04-14_at_10.36.58_AM.png)\n\nThe Pax device is sleek and easy to use. Just pop the pods in and out to change! I also like being able to use the app on my iPhone to change the temperature settings and check my battery level. The Jack Herer and Sativa blends make me feel energetic. They’re great for when it’s hard to open your eyes and you need to get up and moving!\n\n### Flower: Blue Dream\nReview by: Veronica - Customer Service\n\n![](https://hellomd-production.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/58efe42d1fc3e70a07f019c8/embedded_images/58f10c171fc3e7594af019fa/Screen_Shot_2017-04-14_at_10.40.12_AM.png)\n\nOne of my favorite flower strains of all time is Blue Dream, a sativa-dominant hybrid cross between Blueberry and Haze. I love blue dream because it was the first flower I consumed with a relative. At the time, I was afraid to admit I enjoyed cannabis, only to find out they had a large amount of Blue Dream they were more than willing to share with me. \n\nI always experience happy and uplifting effects with Blue Dream. Not to say other flowers and products do not do the same, but Blue Dream is even more special to me because it always reminds me of the time cannabis brought my family member and I closer together. That single positive experience made me fall in love with Blue Dream, and I have continued to make more beautiful memories with everyone I share Blue Dream with. \n\n### Flower: Grapefruit OG by Dirt Ninja Farms\nReview by: Bart - Customer Service/ Find it: Club M\n\n![](https://hellomd-production.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/58efe42d1fc3e70a07f019c8/embedded_images/58f10c181fc3e7594af019fb/Screen_Shot_2017-04-14_at_10.45.35_AM.png)\n\nGrapefruit OG is the best smelling cannabis that I have tried (smells exactly like Grapefruit). This is a great hybrid strain- not too stimulating like a pure sativa and not too much of a downer like a pure indica. If you are looking for a great tasting and great smelling strain, look no further than Grapefruit OG by Dirt Ninja Farms. Grapefruit OG won highest total terpenes and terpolene at Terpestival. A great way to end your 420 after tasting so many different strains- try something fresh!\n\n### Strovia 5:1 Mango Lemongrass Lozenge\nReview by: Ryan - Customer Service, Content Writer/ Find it: [True Farma](http://truefarma.com/hello-md/)\n\n[image/10]\n\nThis is a cannabis lozenge similar to a jolly rancher with 10mg CBD and 2mg THC.\n\nStrovia lozenges are deeply relaxing and undeniably delicious. Since trying my first lozenge, I was a huge fan. CBD helps immensely with anxiety, and the 5-1 CBD-THC ratio is perfect to avoid an intoxicating feeling, while still reaping the benefits of the entourage effect. The mango lemongrass flavor is really worth mentioning as well. I would not be disappointed if Jolly Rancher decided to offer the same option!\n\nWhen I consume a lozenge I begin to feel a calming sensation that relieves my nervous system, while the muscles of my body simultaneously relax. CBD is a wonderful compound, and Strovia’s CBD lozenges are my number one CBD product.\n\n### Kiva Petra Mints\nReview by: Chris - Business Associate/\nFind it: [Sava](https://www.hellomd.com/biz/sava)\n\n[image/12]\n\nLately I’ve been loving on Kiva’s Petra Mints, particularly the Moroccan Mint flavor. I’ve been using medicated mints for a while, because of the sublingual delivery method (it is has the most immediate onset; second to smoking or vaporizing.) While smoking still remains my preferred method of consumption in private; mints provide a quick, discreet way to medicate throughout the work day. \n\nThe Petra Mints are hands down my favorite on the market. Unlike other mints I have tried, these are the first that present as true mints. Several others on the market have a chalky taste and texture, with a hint of cannabis flavor within them. Not so with the Petra mints, which leave my mouth feeling fresh and clean. As a high tolerance user, the 2.5mg per mint is the perfect dose that can be consumed anytime, without fear of too much psychoactivity. As a result, they forever turn their backs on vaping cannabis. I don’t blame them—everyone wants a great experience.\r\n\r\nHere are some reasons that may lead to disappointment:\r\n\r\n* Your vaporizer doesn’t match your vaping style.\r\n* You expect exactly the same effects as when you smoke flower.\r\n* You don’t know how to use your vaporizer properly.\r\n\r\nThe first two issues can easily be avoided by doing proper research and managing your expectations. However, the last issue of not knowing how to use your vaporizer properly may require some willingness, practice and experimentation on your end to be resolved.\r\n \r\nThere’s a lot of conflicting information on how to vaporize marijuana. In this post I’ll teach you how to use a dry flower vaporizer properly. Learning to use a vaporizer correctly is easier than you might think. With some practice and experimentation, you’ll be getting those clouds of vapor that you deserve.\r\n\r\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en)\r\n\r\n### Tip 1: Set Your Vaporizer to an Appropriate Temperature\r\n\r\nDifferent temperatures serve different vaping needs. Generally speaking, the higher you set your temperature dial, the closer you will come to a smoke-like experience and the stronger the effects of your vapor will be. But here’s the kicker: With 90% of vaporizers, the higher you set your temperature the more flavor will deteriorate. \r\n\r\nIf you’ve ever vaped marijuana you might know the burnt popcorn taste. This taste gets more prevalent the higher in temperature you go. Your vapor will also be harsher at higher temperatures. But what exactly is a high and low temperature?\r\n\r\nHere’s a general guideline to temperature for vaping:\r\n\r\n**Low-level vaping temperatures**\r\n\r\n320°F(160°C) – 356°F(180°C) effects:\r\n\r\n* Light mental medication\r\n* Very weak bodily effects\r\n* Best for flavor\r\n\r\n**Mid-level vaping temperatures** \r\n\r\n356°F(180°C) – 392°F(200°C) effects:\r\n\r\n* Moderate to strong mental and physical medication\r\n* Mental and bodily effects both equally apparent\r\n* Good for flavor\r\n\r\n**High-level vaping temperatures** \r\n\r\n392°F(200°C) – 446°F(230°C) effects:\r\n\r\n* Intense mental and physical medication\r\n* Bodily effects will be very strong\r\n* Harsh flavor\r\n\r\nIf you’re not feeling the effects of your marijuana, check your temperature and turn the dial up a bit to experiment. \r\n\r\n### Tip 2: Conduction & Convection Vaporizers Require Different Grinds\r\n\r\nNot every dry herb vaporizer needs the same grind. In fact, some vaporizers don’t need a grind at all. They can just take whole nug of flower. To know how to grind the herb for your particular vaporizer, you need to know whether you have a conduction vaporizer or a convection vaporizer.\r\n\r\nIn a conduction vaporizer, heat gets directly transferred between your herb's particles, so \r\nyou need to grind your marijuana as fine as you can. To transfer heat properly in a conduction-heating system, your herb needs to be compact and compactness can be easily achieved with a fine grind.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, since your herb is in direct contact with the heated wands of the heating chamber, you want as many herb particles as possible in contact with it. The finer your grind, the more particles you will be exposing to the heated wands of the heating chamber. To grind your herb fine to a level like this, you need a proper marijuana grinder. \r\n\r\nIn convection vaporizers, marijuana gets heated by circulating hot air. As a result, you will want to maximize airflow in your herb chamber, thus a finger-type grind is what you should aim for. \r\n\r\nGrinding your flower allows you to increase the surface area of exposure, so hot air will heat it more thoroughly. If you’re vaping large amounts, it can be annoying to break up a gram of marijuana with your fingers. Luckily, there are herb grinders which provide you with a fluffy finger-type of grind which is perfect for convection vaporizers.\r\n\r\nRELATED: [BEGINNER'S GUIDE: FINDING THE RIGHT MARIJUANA VAPORIZER](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/57fbcaf1644283000784a652/beginner-s-guide-finding-the-right-marijuana-vaporizer)\r\n\r\n### Tip 3: Conduction & Convection Vaporizers Require Different Herb Packing\r\n\r\nPacking your vaporizer properly is essential for producing those huge clouds of vapor. How you pack your vaporizer is dependent on whether you have a conduction or convection vaporizer.\r\n\r\nIf you have a conduction vaporizer, pack your vaporizer tightly and compactly, but not so compact that there’s no airflow. The optimal packing level is also different per vaporizer, so ultimately you’ll have to experiment yourself. \r\n\r\nIf you have a convection vaporizer, pack your vaporizer loosely as it's extremely important to have a proper airflow with convection vaporizers. With convection vaporizers, never fill more than 80%-90% and never compress.\r\n\r\nThere are quite a lot of hybrid vaporizers which get advertised as full or just convection vaporizers, when in fact they’re hybrid vaporizers. If you have a hybrid vaporizer, it’s best to pack your vaporizer somewhere between compact and loose. \r\n\r\nLastly, put as much herb in your herb chamber, so that the bottom part of the chamber is covered with the flower. How much differs per vaporizer, but it’s a simple and effective visual check.\r\n\r\n### Tip 4: Draw Correctly From Your Vaporizer \r\n\r\nWhile this is dependent on the particular vaporizer and inhalation method (direct draw, whip or balloon), there are three general tips with regards to drawing:\r\n\r\n1. Most vaporizers work better if you “sip” them instead of “rip” them. This means that you draw in a controlled way, like you would sip tea.\r\n\r\n2. Draw for at least 10 seconds.\r\n\r\n3. If you’re new to vaping, realize that sometimes you may not physically feel the vapor, though you will feel its effects. \r\n\r\n### Tip 5: Keep Your Vaporizer Clean\r\n\r\nThis might seem like an obvious tip, but even I catch myself being lazy with this, then blame my vaporizer for a foul taste or wispy clouds. Sometimes I open my vaporizer and see the screens are clogged with herb residue—the likely cause of my bad experience.\r\n \r\nIt’s extremely important to keep your herb chamber, vapor path and especially the screens in the vapor path clear of herb residue. Most vaporizers can easily be cleansed with ISO alcohol or Q-Tips dipped in ISO alcohol. Never dip your entire vaporizer in ISO alcohol.\r\n\r\nThese five simple tips that can lead to an optimal vaporizer experience. There are specific tips for every individual vaporizer, but regardless of what vaporizer you have, these tips should guide you in the right direction.\r\n\r\nIf you liked this post and want to learn more about vaping marijuana and marijuana vaporizers, check out [Herbonaut](https://www.herbonaut.com) where we review the latest vaporizers and write extensive user guides.\r\n\r\nIf you're new to cannabis and want to learn more, take a look at our [Cannabis 101](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/cannabis-101-your-quick-guide-to-medical-marijuana) post. Cigarette smokers are often advised to abstain from smoking when their children are present so as not to expose them to carcinogens in the smoke. But when it comes to cannabis, many people are left wondering if there are similar negative effects with secondhand smoke from marijuana.\n\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en)\n\n### Is Secondhand Smoke from Marijuana Dangerous?\n\nOne of the first studies on the issue of secondhand marijuana smoke was published in the _Pediatric Resource Journal_ in December 2016. The study looked at children, ranging in age from one month to two years old, and how they reacted to secondhand smoke from cannabis and tobacco in their households.\n\nResearchers found that the children didn’t have any cannabidiol (CBD) or tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in their system, despite being exposed to secondhand marijuana smoke. There were, however, small amounts of COOH-THC, a THC metabolite, found in the systems of 16% of the participants. No long-term problems have been associated with COOH-THC. That said, it hasn’t been extensively studied.\n\nRELATED: [IS CANNABIS SAFE FOR BREASTFEEDING MOMS?](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/5a8a1474f24d1300077ccb50/is-cannabis-safe-for-breastfeeding-moms)\n\nIn light of their findings, researchers concluded that the study’s participants absorbed some components found in the cannabis smoke. They also found that children exposed to secondhand marijuana smoke were far more likely to be exposed to tobacco smoke.\n\nThis is the first study in which cannabis metabolites have been detected in children exposed to secondhand marijuana smoke. However, the study lacks a clear conclusion on whether there’s a danger associated with secondhand marijuana smoke exposure. \n\n### What About Vaporizing Cannabis—Is Secondhand Marijuana Vapor Dangerous?\n\nVaporizing cannabis has become a popular alternative to smoking marijuana in recent years due to its smoke-free nature, but the health effects of secondhand vapor have also been questioned. There have been no studies on secondhand cannabis vapor, but studies on e-cigarettes have shown that there are some negative effects associated with this type of exposure.\n\nA study by the [Bavarian Health and Food Safety Authority](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bill-chameides/e-cigs-and-secondhand-va_b_4948399.html) published in the _International Journal of Hygiene and Environmental Health_ found that tobacco vaporizers decreased the surrounding air quality. When vaporizers were used in a room, they increased the amount of nicotine, particulate matter, PAH and aluminum in the air. All of the substances found in the air after vaporizing tobacco have been associated with health problems.\n\nOf course, it’s important to note again that this study involved the use of e-cigarettes rather than the use of cannabis vaporizers. \n\n### Definitive Research on Secondhand Marijuana Smoke Is Lacking\n\nAfter recreational marijuana use was legalized in the state, Colorado touched on the issue of secondhand marijuana smoke in a pamphlet it released covering [frequently asked questions related to methods of marijuana use](https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/sites/default/files/M_RM_Marijuana-and-Methods-of-Use-FAQs.pdf). The guide warns against smoking marijuana around children, due to dangers in cannabis smoke similar to that of tobacco smoke. The pamphlet also warns that vaporizers may lead to secondhand exposure to chemicals that could be potentially harmful to children. Though extensive research to back up the recommendations made by Colorado is lacking, erring on the side of caution is a good path to take.\n\nThe true effects of secondhand marijuana smoke are unknown. As with many questions related to marijuana, the topic of secondhand smoke and vapor hasn’t been studied to an extent where definitive conclusions can be drawn. What we do know is that there are components of cannabis smoke absorbed by those who are exposed to it second hand, though the ultimate effect of those components on these individuals is unknown. Since the effects are still unknown, it’s best to keep your children clear of any secondhand smoke or vapor from marijuana. \n\n### Play It Safe & Don’t Expose Your Kids to Secondhand Cannabis Smoke \n\nCannabis comes in many different forms, which don’t have secondhand smoke or vapor as a byproduct. Marijuana-infused tinctures and edibles can be a great alternative to smoking or vaporizing, because they don’t expose the people around you to any of the cannabis you’re consuming. One of the most important things to remember is to store all of your cannabis products responsibly, especially if children also reside in your household. Make sure your products are out of reach of children and preferably moved into child-proof containers to reduce the possibility of accidental consumption. And again, be sure to smoke or vape your marijuana when your children aren’t around.\n\nIf you’re new to cannabis and want to learn more, take a look at our [Cannabis 101](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/56201c206430320006bb0000/cannabis-101-your-quick-guide-to-medical-marijuana) post. Colorado currently only allows for smoking to take place in personal residences, but Denver has a new initiative on the ballot to allow for cannabis cafes within the city limits that would provide people with an Amsterdam-like cannabis experience in their own country. \n\nDue to laws that prohibit public smoking, [edibles tend to be a very popular](https://www.hellomd.com/products?category=Edibles) option for people coming from out of state. Most Colorado hotels still have fairly strict no smoking bans, which relates to both tobacco and cannabis, but AirBnB and HomeAway have many listings in recreational legal states that say they are “420 friendly” to provide people with good accommodations for cannabis tourism. \n\nRELATED: [ESSENTIALS ABOUT EDIBLES YOU NEED TO KNOW](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/essentials-about-edibles-that-you-need-to-know)\n\n### Marijuana Friendly Hotels\n\n[Bud and Breakfast](http://www.budandbfast.com) is an AirBnB style website that provides people with a list of accommodations that are marijuana friendly. The website is filled with various Bed & Breakfasts across the state of Colorado that include events like breakfast paired with a nice assortment of sativa strains and 420 happy hour events. Currently the website lists four hotels across Colorado, but they are continuing to add more locations as cannabis themed tourism becomes more popular. \n\nMarijuana themed tours of cities like Denver and Seattle are also very popular among crowds eager to learn about the world of cannabis. There are many different tour companies that focus on cannabis themed tours of cities that are tailored to the must see marijuana related sites in the city. The tours include everything from showing people the top dispensaries in the city, sometimes with some added discounts, to tours of grow facilities. Some tours even include information about strains and education about different cannabinoids and the pros and cons of different administration methods. \n\nMarijuana tourism also draws people into California who are interested in trying medical marijuana to help them with their various medical conditions. [Kush Tourism](http://kushtourism.com), a company that provides people who are interested in cannabis tourism with a place to find more information, lists cannabis friendly accommodations in California, and many other marijuana legal states. There are accommodations in Palm Springs, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, and Sacramento, all of which are cannabis friendly if you have a California-issued medical marijuana card. Though some of the accommodations do not allow smoking, they do allow for cannabis consumption in other forms like edibles or vaporizers. \n\n### California is the Next Big Market\n\nCannabis tourism is just beginning to get off the ground in the United States and we are likely to see even more changes in the coming years. California will likely become a new market for cannabis tourism if recreational cannabis becomes legal in the state in the coming year. Colorado’s new regulations could serve to open up more opportunities for cannabis specific tourism, as well. This past year the website Visit Denver found that there were no higher numbers of hotel reservations on April 20th, the famous 4/20 holiday, than any other time of year, but if cannabis cafes begin to open and more locations that are designed for enjoying cannabis are available to people, the more tourism they are likely to attract. \n\n![](https://hellomd-production.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/581a2c4655e441000b0b516e/embedded_images/581a2c4f55e441000b0b516f/Screen_Shot_2016-11-02_at_11.03.12_AM.png)\nTravel & Leisure has even written an [article](http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/colorado-pot-tourism-hospitality-group) about cannabis tourism.\n \nCannabis tourism is a great way to experience marijuana in a legal way, but it is important to educate yourself before you embark on a trip where cannabis is involved.
