Now in California it is legal to smoke cannabis. Is it legal to purchase cannabis from a dispensary?

Hi there, as of Jan 1, the state of California has made recreational marijuana legal. That said, depending on where you live, you may or may not be able to walk into a dispensary to purchase cannabis recreationally. Places like Oakland, Berkeley and Santa Cruz have a select number of dispensaries that are open to non-medical marijuana card holders. Meanwhile, a number of other cities/counties including San Francisco and Los Angeles are still not ready to sell recreationally. We published an article recently covering this topic. Hope it helps!
